Brittany Gonzalez

MS, Marriage & Family Practicum Student
Brittany graduated from El Campo High School in 2008 and attended Wharton County Junior College where she received an Associate of Arts in 2010. She transferred to Sam Houston State University receiving a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2012. In December 2019, Brittany earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Lamar University. Brittany served as a police officer for 3 years, before leaving the force to pursue a different career path. Although she does not plan to enter law enforcement in the future, she completes yearly credit hours to maintain her peace officer license through the Texas Commission of Law Enforcement.

Brittany is a student therapist entering her first year of Internship. In May 2023, Brittany will graduate with a second master’s degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Lamar University. Following graduation, Brittany plans to obtain licensure through the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She aspires to specialize in couples’ therapy with advanced training in infidelity and aiding at risk youths through child/adolescent therapy. Brittany strives to assist as many individuals as possible. Her passion for helping others is abundant and perpetual. Brittany plans to obtain several certifications throughout her counseling career as well as pursue a PsyD in Clinical Psychology.
