Prior to graduating from the University of Houston – Victoria with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2018, I was an elementary school teacher for 25 years. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas A & M University in College Station in 1991. Thus, my passion is working with students and their parents to provide support and advocacy.

I have additional training through the Gottman Institute in Emotion Coaching, and I have completed the Active Parenting Leader Training. I am EMDR trained and have some additional training in trauma competency.

In addition to providing individual therapy to preteens, teens and adults using Play Therapy, EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I also administer ADHD evaluations and lead parenting classes at Turning Leaf Counseling & Education Center.
