Rebecca Zepeda, M.Ed., Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR-Trained Therapist, Associate Sex Offender Treatment Provider
Therapist for Adults, Teens, and Kids
Hi, I’m Rebecca! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and an Associate Sex Offender Treatment Provider (ASOTP) in the state of Texas. I specialize in working with trauma including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Complex PTSD. I also work with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, offering a supportive space to process emotions and build practical tools for daily life. I am passionate about helping people heal, grow, and feel more like themselves again.
I work with adults, teens, and children, and I tailor my approach to each person’s needs. Whether we’re working through past trauma, navigating big emotions, or building new coping tools, I’m here to offer support, honesty, and compassion along the way.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston, followed by a Master’s in Education for School Counseling from Lamar University. I later completed Lamar’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling Bridge Program to further expand my work in private practice. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in elementary education for many years as both a teacher and a school counselor. That experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding child development, family dynamics, and the school system. The skills I gained in education continue to shape the way I show up for my clients, helping me bring patience, creativity, and a big-picture perspective into the therapy space.
Therapy with me is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe in creating a space where you can be yourself and feel truly heard. I’ll always meet you with honesty, empathy, and without judgment. My approach is flexible and client-centered, which means we’ll move at your pace and focus on what matters most to you. You don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll work through it together, one step at a time.
